Rates shown reflect cash discount for payment by check only. You may make your final payment with your credit card for 4% additional fee. Non-US Citizens require visas to all the countries covered in this program. US Citizens require visas to Egypt (issued upon arrival with a fee)

All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect February 2009 and on group rates of 32-36 persons or more. All prices are subject to change without notice prior to departure due to major currency fluctuations, fuel prices and/or unforeseen economic circumstances.
Please complete the booking form with full names as they appear on passports, and mail it to us with your deposit of $350.00 plus $271 (optional) Insurance. Receipt of your deposit shall act as your agreement to the terms and conditions herewith. Balance is due 90 days before departure date. If you cancel, the following cancellation charges will apply:

* 120 days prior to departure $25 pp;
* 119-91 days before departure $250 pp;
* 90-61 days prior to departure date $1,000 pp;
* 60-31 days prior to departure date $1,500 pp;
* 30-1 day prior to departure date or no show – No Refund

ROME/BASILICAS

Arrive Rome Airport at 8:25 where we will be welcomed to Italy by our tour escort and motor coach driver. We drive to celebrate Holy Mass in the Basilica of the Holy Cross. Then visit the relics of the Holy Cross preserved in the Basilica. Later, we visit two of the other major Basilicas of Rome: St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran. Transfer to the hotel to check-in and the rest of the afternoon at leisure for rest.

ROME/VATICAN MUSEUM

After breakfast, we drive to the Vatican City and visit the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel to admire the works of Michelangelo. Then we visit St. Peter’s Basilica and the crypt of Pope John Paul II. Time at leisure around the Vatican City for personal visits and activities. Return to the hotel.

ASSISI

We depart Rome this morning and drive to Assisi to explore the hilltop birthplace of St. Francis. After Holy Mass, we visit the Basilica and the crypt of St. Francis, one of the most beloved saints of all time. Then visit the Basilica of St. Clare and the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in the lower plains of Assisi. Return to our hotel in Rome.

ROME

Our full day in Rome will include visits to the Abbey of the Three Fountains, the place of Paul’s martyrdom, where tradition has it that three different springs gushed out at each spot touched when St. Paul’s head fell down. Then to the Appian Way to visit the Catacombs of San Sebastian; we will celebrate Mass at the Franciscan Church close to the Catacombs. Then we visit the Basilica of St. Paul’s Outside the Walls, and the Benedictine Abbey. Afternoon tour at leisure around the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountains.

CANONIZATION CELEBRATION/ROME

Transfer to the Vatican City to join pilgrims from all over the world and celebrate with them the canonization of our beloved Father Damien de Veuster. After the canonization, we will visit the Millennium Church. This is the church wanted by Pope John Paul II to celebrate the Jubilee.

ROME/TEL AVIV/JERUSALEM

Transfer to Rome Airport to take our flight to Tel Aviv, where we will be welcomed by our tour guide and motor coach driver. Transfer to our hotel in Jerusalem.

MOUNT OF OLIVES/BETHLEHEM/EIN KAREM

We start our day with the Mount of Olives, Church of Pater Noster, down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church, and the Garden of Gethsemane. On to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, Holy Manger, the Basilica of St. Catherine, the Milk Grotto and the Shepherds’ Field. On the way back, we stop in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM/MOUNT ZION

We enter the Old City to visit the Church of St. Anne, Pools of Bethesda and follow the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit Golgotha and the Burial and Resurrection place of Jesus. We walk through the Cardo to the Western Wall. On to Mount Zion, visiting the Room of the Last Supper, House of Caiaphas and Church of St. Peter.

BETHANY/JERICHO/DEAD SEA/QUMRAN

After breakfast, we drive to Bethany, known as the place where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. We visit the Franciscan Church, built on the traditional site of the House of Mary and Martha. As we continue our drive down through the Judean wilderness, we arrive Jericho to see the excavations, Elijah’s Fountain and Mount of Temptation. After rest and lunch (not included), we continue to Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Return to Jerusalem.

EMMAUS/JERUSALEM

In the morning we drive to Emmaus. At Emmaus, Jesus met Cleophas and Simon after His Resurrection and ate with them. The Franciscans built a church on the spot where Cleophas’ house was believed to have stood. We visit the Franciscan Basilica with its stained glass windows and spend quiet time in prayers and meditations before returning to Jerusalem. The rest of the afternoon at leisure for personal activities and shopping.

JERUSALEM/CAESAREA/HAIFA/MT. CARMEL/NAZARETH

This morning we depart Jerusalem and drive to Caesarea on the Mediterranean Sea, where St. Paul was imprisoned and St. Peter preached to the first gentiles. Visit the Roman aqueduct and then on to Haifa and Mount Carmel for a beautiful view. Visit the Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Elijah’s Cave. We conclude the day in Nazareth, visiting the Church of the Annunciation, the Holy Grotto and the Church of St. Joseph.

CANA/GALILEE REGION/CAPERNAUM/MT BEATITUDES/RIVER JORDAN/AIRPORT

In the morning we visit the church in Cana where Jesus performed His first public miracle at the wedding. Then we will explore the sites along the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum where Jesus preached in the synagogue, St. Peter’s House, Mount of Beatitudes and Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied the loaves of bread and fish, and the baptismal site at the River Jordan. We will also enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. After dinner, transfer to Tel Aviv Airport. Depart on Delta Airlines at 11:35pm to Atlanta.
