DEPOSIT AND BOOKING
A deposit of $350 plus $271 insurance (optional) payable to Adriatic Pilgrimage is required per person at the time of booking. Balance is due on or before July 3, 2009. Any booking made after July 4, 2009 is subject to availability and additional surcharges for late date booking will apply.
Rates shown reflect discount for payment made by check.
You may make your final payment with your credit card but 4% additional processing fee will apply.
Fuel surcharges are subject to change up to 25 days prior to departure date.
Non USA citizens must obtain visa before their departure.

DEPOSIT & FINAL PAYMENT
A deposit in the amount of $250 will hold your reservation up to 90 days prior to departure, when the balance becomes due.
TOUR PRICES
are based on tariffs and foreign currency exchange as known December 1999. They are subject to change without notice in case of any revisions of such rates. Prices are based on a minimum of 45 Pilgrims.

CANCELLATION & REFUND
A booking can be cancelled, but the cancellation must be made in writing and the following cancellation charges per person will apply up to 90 days prior to departure-Fee $25; 90-60 days prior to departure $100 per person; 60-30 days prior to departure $500 per person; 30-1 day prior to departure & "No Show"- No refunds are made for forfeited sight-seeking excursions, transfers, accommodations or air-tickets

ROME/ASSISI
Feast of St. Francis

Arrive Rome Airport at 8:25 where we will be welcomed to Italy by our tour escort and motor coach driver. We drive to Assisi for Holy Mass and zirthplace of St. Francis. We will visit the Basilica of St. Francis with the crypt of the Saint, the Basilica of St. Claire and the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels.

ASSISI/SIENA/ASSISI

Depart this morning to Siena, a beautiful city known for its rich history of art and culture and the birthplace of St. Catherine and St. Bernardine. Here we will stroll the Piazza Del Campo, one of Italy’s finest squares and visit the Cathedral and the Basilica of St. Francis, containing the miraculous consecrated host that remained intact since 1730. Return to Assisi.

ASSISI/LORETO/LANCIANO/SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO

Today we visit the great Marian shrine of Loreto to see the family home of Jesus, Mary and Joseph located inside the Basilica of Loreto, where it has been since 1294. Continue to Lanciano, where the first Eucharistic Miracle took place in the 8th century in the little Church of St. Legontian. After some time at the Sanctuario Del Miracolo Eucaristico, we continue to San Giovanni Rotondo.

SAN GIOVANNI ROTONDO/ MONTE SANT’ANGELO

We will spend the day in and around San Giovanni Rotondo. We visit the places associated with Saint Pio. Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Grace, and see Padre Pio’s room and confessional and the Crucifix from which Saint Pio received the stigmata. Later, visit the Grotto of Michael the Archangel in Mont Sant’Angelo. Many different Popes have knelt in prayer here seeking the protection of St. Michael.

SAN GIOVANNI/GENAZZANO/ROME

We depart San Giovanni Rotondo and drive to Rome. En route, we stop in Genazzano, a city rich in history and blessed with the presence of a miraculous painting of the Blessed Virgin Mary that has an amazing story. Arrive Rome in the afternoon.

ROME/IMPERIAL ROME/CATACOMBS/BASILICAS

We will spend all day in Rome visiting Imperial Rome with its Coliseum and the Roman Forum. Then to the Catacombs, where early Christians hid because of persecution. In the afternoon, visit the Basilicas of St. Paul’s Outside the Walls and the Basilica of St. Mary Major.

ROME/VATICAN MUSEUM/ST PETER’S BASILICA

Today we visit the Vatican City and the Vatican Museum with the Sistine Chapel to admire the works of Michelangelo. Then we will tour around and inside St. Peter’s Basilica including the crypt of Pope John Paul II. We will have some time at leisure around the Vatican City for shopping and personal activities before going to the hotel.

CANONIZATION CELEBRATION/ROME

Transfer to the Vatican City to join pilgrims from all over the world and celebrate with them the canonization of our beloved Father Damien de Veuster. After the canonization, our tour escort will take us on a leisurely walking tour to the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain where we enjoy a farewell dinner celebrating the canonization of Fr. Damien.

ROME/TEL AVIV/JERUSALEM

Transfer to Rome Airport to take our flight to Tel Aviv, where we will be welcomed by our tour guide and motor coach driver. Transfer to our hotel in Jerusalem.

MOUNT OF OLIVES/GETHSEMANEBETHLEHEM/EIN KAREM

We start our day with the Mount of Olives, Church of Pater Noster, down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church, and the Garden of Gethsemane. On to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, Holy Manger, the Basilica of St. Catherine, the Milk Grotto and the Shepherds’ Field. On the way back, we stop in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

OLD CITY OF JERUSALEM/MOUNT ZION

We enter the Old City to visit the Church of St. Anne, Pools of Bethesda and follow the Stations of the Cross to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit Golgotha and the Burial and Resurrection place of Jesus. We walk through the Cardo to the Western Wall. On to Mount Zion, visiting the Room of the Last Supper, House of Caiaphas and Church of St. Peter.

BETHANY/JERICHO/DEAD SEA/QUMRAN

After breakfast, we drive to Bethany, known as the place where Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. We visit the Franciscan Church, built on the traditional site of the House of Mary and Martha. As we continue our drive down through the Judean wilderness, we arrive Jericho to see the excavations, Elijah’s Fountain and Mount of Temptation. After rest and lunch (not included), we continue to Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Return to Jerusalem.

JERUSALEM/CAESAREA/HAIFA/MT. CARMEL/NAZARETH

This morning we depart Jerusalem and drive to Caesarea on the Mediterranean Sea, where St. Paul was imprisoned and St. Peter preached to the first gentiles. Visit the Roman aqueduct and then on to Haifa and Mount Carmel for a beautiful view. Visit the Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Elijah’s Cave. We conclude the day in Nazareth, visiting the Church of the Annunciation, the Holy Grotto and the Church of St. Joseph.

CANA/GALILEE REGION/CAPERNAUM/MT BEATITUDES/RIVER JORDAN/AIRPORT

In the morning we visit the church in Cana where Jesus performed His first public miracle at the wedding. Then we will explore the sites along the Sea of Galilee. Capernaum where Jesus preached in the synagogue, St. Peter’s House, Mount of Beatitudes and Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied the loaves of bread and fish, and the baptismal site at the River Jordan. We will also enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. After dinner, transfer to Tel Aviv Airport.
