All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect March 2009 and on group rates of 32 passengers or more. All prices are subject to change without notice prior to departure due to major currency fluctuations, fuel prices surcharges, airport taxes and security surcharges, and/or unforeseen economic circumstances.
Please complete the booking form with full names as they appear on passports, and mail it to us with your deposit of $350 per person plus $271 insurance (optional). Receipt of your deposit shall act as your agreement to the terms and conditions herewith. Balance is due 90 days before departure date. If you cancel, the following cancellation charges per person will apply: 120 days or more before departure date $25 pp; 119-91 days or more before departure $250pp; 90-61 days prior to departure date $1,000pp; 60-31 days prior to departure date $1,500pp; 30-1 day prior to departure date or no show – No Refund.

ROME/BASILICAS

Arrive Rome at 7:45 am where we will be welcomed by our tour guide. We start our first day in Italy with Holy Mass and then we visit some of the major Basilicas of Rome: The Basilica of St. Mary Major, the Basilica of St. John in Lateran and the Holy Stairs. The rest of the afternoon at leisure to relax before dinner and overnight at our hotel.

CANONIZATION CELEBRATION/ROME

Transfer to the Vatican City to join pilgrims from all over the world and celebrate with them and Pope Benedict the canonization of our beloved Father Damien de Veuster. After the canonization, we will visit the Basilica of St. Peter, the crypt of Pope John Paul II and spend time around the Vatican City before returning back to our hotel.

ROME/VATICAN MUSEUM/IMPERIAL ROME

This morning we visit the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel to admire the works of Michelangelo. After the Museum, we will enjoy a city tour of Imperial Rome from the Forum to the Spanish Steps and on to Trevi Fountain, where we can spend time on our own to enjoy the atmosphere and look for bargains before returning back to our hotel.

Transfer to Rome Airport to take our short flight from Rome to Malta, where we will be welcomed by our tour escort for a nice panoramic tour of the city.

MALTA (VALETTA, THE CAPITAL CITY)

Valetta, the capital of Malta, is an impressive city, fully enclosed by walls, its buildings were inspired by Jean de la Valette, Grandmaster of the Order of St. John. Valetta contains some of Malta’s richest heritage. Our visit begins with the Upper Barracca Gardens that command panoramic views of the Grand Harbor. Which surrounds the city on three sides. Then we visit the Grandmaster’s Palace and Armory, the Co – Cathedral where we also see Caravaggio’s painting in the Oratory and the Cathedral Museum and later to the Grandmaster’s Palace.

MALTA/GOZO/MALTA

This morning we drive to Gozo with its Capital Victoria. It is located in the center of the island and it has an old walled city to which the Gozians withdrew to escape the incursions of the Turks. Many of the buildings in the citadel are in ruins after an earthquake, but the Cathedral was rebuilt in 1697 and has an impressive false dome. Near it, in a former palace, is the Gozo Museum. The rest of the town also has an old center with narrow streets where the local ladies sit at their doors chatting and making lace. The main square It – Tokk, has a morning market, and is a favorite local meeting palace. Return to our hotel.

MALTA/MDINA/RABAT/ST. PAUL’S ISLAND/MALTA

Our day will take us to Mdina and Rabat and boat a cruise to St. Paul’s Island. We start in Mdina with a walk through the medieval walled city situated in the center of the island including a visit to the Cathedral and the ramparts that command a magnificent view of the island. Then we walk to Rabat to visit the St. Catald’s Catacombs, an underground burial place used by the early Christians. Then on to St. Paul’s Island. Return to Malta.

MALTA/ROME/ASSISI

Transfer to Malta Airport to take our flight back to Rome, Italy. Arrive Rome, where we will be welcomed again to Italy and then take our motor coach and drive to Assisi to explore the hilltop birthplace of St. Francis.

ASSISI/SIENA/FLORENCE

This morning we visit the birthplace of St. Francis of Assisi. In the crypt of St. Francis Basilica lies the tomb of one of the most beloved saints of all time, St. Francis of Assisi. We see the Basilica of St. Clare, the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels and the Porziuncola, located on the lower plains of Assisi. Then to Siena, the birthplace of Saints Catherine and Bernardine. Here we will stroll the Piazza Del Campo, one of Italy’s finest squares. In the afternoon continue to our hotel near Florence.

FLORENCE/PADUA/VENICE

In the morning we visit the splendid capital of Tuscany. Our guided tour includes the magnificent Santa Maria Del Fiore, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery’s heavy bronze “Gate of Paradise” and sculpture-studded Signoria Square. Continue to Padua to visit the Basilica of St. Anthony. In the afternoon, we visit Venice as we travel down the Grand Canal under the Rialto Bridge and continue to San Marco Square to see the Cathedral of Saint Mark, the grand towers and the Doges Palace (from outside). Return to our hotel.

MILAN/LOS ANGELES

Transfer to Milan Airport to take our Continental Airlines flight #45 at 10:20 to Newark. Arrive Newark and connect with CO65 departing at 3:25pm, arriving Los Angeles at 6:39pm. You may arrange your own hotel or use the Radisson Hotel for $139.00 per room and use the hotel shuttle.

LOS ANGELES/HONOLULU

Depart Los Angeles Airport on CO3 at 10:00am. (You may take the hotel shuttle to the airport). Arrive Honolulu at 12:45pm.
