DEPOSIT AND BOOKING
A deposit of $350 plus $185 Insurance (Optional - for coverage up to $3500 – tour price from $3501 - $5000 = $271) payable to Adriatic Pilgrimage is required per person at the time of booking, but not later than May 1, 2009. Balance is due on or before June 29, 2009. Any booking after June 30, 2009 is subject to availability plus additional late fees will apply.
Rates shown reflect discount for payment made by check. You may make your final payment with your credit card for 4% additional processing fee. Additional fuel surcharges are subject to change up to 25 days prior to departure date. Non USA citizens must obtain visa before their departure.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
All prices quoted in this flyer are based on airfares, land rates and exchange rates in effect December 2008 and on group rates of 33-39 passengers or more. All prices are subject to change without notice prior to departure due to major currency fluctuations, fuel prices and/or unforeseen economic circumstances.
Please complete the booking form with full names as they appear on passports, and mail it to us with your deposit of $350.00 plus $271 (optional) Insurance. Receipt of your deposit shall act as your agreement to the terms and conditions herewith. Balance is due 90 days before departure date. If you cancel, the following cancellation charges will apply:

* 120 days prior to departure $25 pp;
* 119-91 days before departure $250 pp;
* 90-61 days prior to departure date $1,000 pp;
* 60-31 days prior to departure date $1,500 pp;
* 30-1 day prior to departure date or no show – No Refund

* Pilgrims are responsible for ensuring that their passports are in order and for securing any Visas Necessary.

ARRIVE CAIRO

Arrive Cairo Airport in the morning where we will be welcomed to Egypt by our representative. Transfer to church for Mass of Thanksgiving and then to our hotel for rest and later dinner and overnight.

OLD CAIRO/CHURCHES

After late breakfast, we take our motor coach, visiting the famous Citadel of Saladdin, Mohammed Ali Mosque and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then to Old Cairo, visiting the Hanging Church, the Coptic Museum and Abu Serga Church. Later, visit the Church of St. Mary in Zeitoun, where many people witnessed the miraculous apparition of the Blessed Mother. We will have time for shopping before returning back to our hotel.

CAIRO/PYRAMIDS/SPHINX/EGYPTIAN MUSEUM

This morning, we start at the Egyptian Museum with Tutankhamen’s fabulous treasures. Then leave for ancient Memphis to admire the 40-foot statue of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx. On to Sakkara’s Step Pyramid and the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. This evening we will enjoy dinner on the Nile River Cruise with entertainment.

CAIRO/SINAI

Today, after breakfast and some time at leisure, we will stop at the Sadat Memorial before we depart Cairo and drive by the Suez Canal and the desert landscapes of the Sinai Peninsula. We will stop at some oasis and water wells before we continue to our lodging near St. Catherine’s Monastery.

MT SINAI/ST. CATHERINE/RED SEA/TABA

A wake-up call at 2:00am for those who wish to make the four-hour climb to the top of Mount Sinai, which is believed to be the location where Moses received the Ten Commandments. Down to the famous St. Catherine’s Monastery, built in the sixth century to protect what was believed to be the Burning Bush. Later we drive to Taba to stay overnight in the resort on the Red Sea.

TABA/DEAD SEA/JERICHO/JERUSALEM

After breakfast, we take our motor coach for the short drive to Taba Crossing. We cross the borders into Israel, where we meet our tour guide and motor coach. We drive by the Dead Sea and stop for pictures, and then continue our drive to Jericho to see the excavations of Old Jericho, Elisha’s Fountain and Mount of Temptation. Arrive Jerusalem in the evening.

MT. OF OLIVES/GETHSEMANE/BETHLEHEM/EIN KAREM

We start our day with the Mount of Olives, Church of Pater Noster, down to Dominus Flevit and St. Mary Magdalene Church, Garden of Gethsemane and on to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, Holy Manger, the Basilica of St. Catherine, the Milk Grotto and then the Shepherds’ Field. On the way back to Jerusalem, we stop in Ein Karem to visit the Church of the Visitation.

JERUSALEM/OLD CITY/BETHANY

Early morning transfer to the Old City to walk the Way of the Cross as a group from the first station until we enter the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Visit Golgotha and the empty tomb of Our Lord. Back to the hotel for breakfast and later we will have a panoramic tour of New Jerusalem passing by the Shrine of the Book and the Knesset. Then we walk through the Cardo to the Western Wall and the Dome of the Rock. On Mount Zion, we visit the Room of the Last Supper, the House of Caiaphas and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. In Bethany, we visit the traditional site of the House of Mary and Martha and Lazarus Tomb.

EMMAUS/NEW CITY

This morning we will drive to Emmaus to visit the site and the Franciscan church built on the traditional house where Jesus met with the two disciples on the day of His resurrection. Then we return to Jerusalem and have a panoramic tour of the new section of Jerusalem passing by the Kensett, the Hebrew University and the Shrine of the Book.

JERUSALEM/HAIFA/MOUNT CARMEL/CANA/NAZARETH

We depart Jerusalem to Haifa and up to Mount Carmel for a panoramic view of the coastline and Galilee. Visit Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery and Elijah’s Cave. Continue to Cana, the traditional site where Jesus performed His first public miracle. We conclude our day in Nazareth, visiting the Church of the Annunciation, Holy Grotto, Church of St. Joseph and Mary’s Well.

GALILEE/CAPERNAUM/MOUNT BEATITUDES/RIVER JORDAN

After breakfast we drive towards Mount Tabor to visit the Church of the Transfiguration and later, we will explore the Galilee Region and sites along the Sea of Galilee: Capernaum where Jesus preached in the synagogue and St. Peter’s House. Up to the Mount of Beatitudes and visit the Catholic Church and Monastery; Tabgha, where Jesus multiplied the loaves and fish; and the baptismal site at the River Jordan. Today, we will enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

TIBERIAS/MADABA/MOUNT NEBO/ RIVER JORDAN/AMMAN

This morning we depart to Jordan and drive to visit Madaba, home to a beautiful sixth century mosaic map of the Holy Land, then to Mount Nebo to view “The Promised Land” as Moses and later Pope John Paul II did. We go down to the Baptismal site on the River Jordan, which has been recently identified as the place where John the Baptist baptized the people.

PETRA

Depart Amman for a full day to the Rose Red City of Petra. Upon arrival, we begin an unforgettable trip on horse back till the Siq, after by foot till we reach the Treasury. Our guide will give us a brief history of the greatest attraction in the Middle East. The Nabatean carved this capital (Petra) from the rock of the surrounding mountains. Amongst the monuments are Pharaoh’s Castle, the Triumphal Arch, and the Amphitheater. Return to Amman for our farewell dinner and then transfer to Amman Airport.
