This is how you can travel along the coast on a regular daily ferry line. It will take you from Rijeka via Rab, Zadar, Split, Hvar, Korcula and Mljet to Dubrovnik in 22 hours. Your bike goes for free. Bring a sleeping bag or book a cabin. Other islands are served by local ferry and passenger lines.

Croatia Airlines can take you from Zagreb to the coast in less than one hour – to Dubrovnik, Split, Brac, Zadar, Pula. It also services mayor European cities. Mayor European airlines fly to Zagreb as well. In Summer charter flights connect the coast with Europe directly.

Main railroads go East-West and North-South and they cross in Zagreb, the capital. More people use busses to go South and there are more regular lines in Summer. Roads are safe if you drive slowly. Avoid driving main roads on July & August weekends and enjoy the scenery.

Most European countries citizens need no entry visa, US and Canadien get it quickly at the point of entry for free. A passport is sufficient.
